From the President and Secretary General |
As the early bird deadline for registration at the WCPT Congress is upon us, our thoughts are turning to May 2015 in Singapore. We want as many people as possible to register for the congress, and to experience the largest international physical therapy gathering. The early bird rates (available until 2nd October) provide a means of reducing the financial burden of attending a WCPT Congress. We are also thinking of Singapore because the WCPT General Meeting takes place just before the congress, and we are now preparing materials ready for our member organisations to consider. For example, there are new initiatives to report on and policy statements to approve. You can already see the new statements on disability and non-communicable diseases, ready for approval, on our website. The General Meeting is the best opportunity to hear the views and perspectives of member organisations – it is the most important landmark in WCPT's calendar. Kind regards, Marilyn Moffat and Brenda J Myers If you would like to use all or part of this e-letter for your own newsletters/websites then please feel free. We need your assistance to reach the profession around the world, so please send this e-update to your members. |
