From the President and Secretary General |
Last week WCPT announced its new professional partnership with physiotherapyexercises.com – a web-based service run by physical therapists that enables colleagues around the world to generate exercise programmes for their patients and clients. The announcement, publicised via WCPT's social media channels, reached over 42,000 individuals on Facebook alone. This followed a Facebook posting about another WCPT partner, PEDro (the Physiotherapy Evidence Database), which reached an astonishing 60,000 people. This demonstrates the value of professional partnerships to both WCPT and its partners: we both gain by publicising each other. We share the aim of advancing evidence based practice and advancing standards, and information and resources supporting those values are dispersed far more widely and effectively because we are working together. To find out more about WCPT partnerships go to www.wcpt.org/node/100828. To find out more about physiotherapyexercises.com read the full article in WCPT News at www.wcpt.org/news/Physiotherapyexercises-Oct14. Kind regards Marilyn Moffat and Brenda J Myers If you would like to use all or part of this e-letter for your own newsletters/websites then please feel free. We need your assistance to reach the profession around the world, so please send this e-update to your members. |
