As the early bird deadline for registration at the WCPT Congress is upon us, our thoughts are turning to May 2015 in Singapore. We want as many people as possible to register for the congress, and to experience the largest international physical therapy gathering. The early bird rates (available until 2nd October) provide a means of reducing the financial burden of attending a WCPT Congress.    We are also thinking of Singapore because the WCPT General Meeting takes place just before the congress, and we are now preparing materials ready for our member organisations to consider. For example, there are new initiatives to report on and policy statements to approve. You can already see the new statements on disability and non-communicable diseases, ready for approval, on our website. World Physical Therapy Day 2014

World Physical Therapy Day 2014 has been an overwhelming success! Around the world the profession promoted this year's "Fit to take part" message. Congratulations to all who held events promoting the profession and the vital role it plays in global health. Reports from WCPT member organisations about activities held to celebrate the day will be added to the WCPT website shortly.    Although we cannot promise to be able to feature all reports received on the WCPT website, please let us know about your celebrations by emailing a brief report and photos to info@wcpt.org.

Webcasts

Parkinson's The World Parkinson Coalition (WPC) is delivering its first ever WPC Scientific Update via a free webcast - this online programme will include six sessions and six free CME/CEU credits from 30th September to 2nd October 2014. It is designed for the international Parkinson community to learn about the exciting scientific advances made over the last year since the Coalition's 2013 congress. For more information go to: bit.ly/1rjaU1C.   Journal editors The International Society of Physiotherapy Journal Editors (a network affiliated with WCPT) is looking for wide participation in its webinar on "Transparency in reporting clinical trials" on Tuesday 11th November 2014, at 11am GMT. Editors and academics will speak on the challenges of implementing clinical trial registration, and a new statement aimed at promoting better reporting of trials. Prevention of child abuse campaign

The Women's World Summit Foundation (WWSF) has launched its annual campaign and call to action "19 Days of Activism for prevention of abuse and violence against children and youth 1-19 November". World Spine Day

Every year on 16th October people from around the world join together to raise awareness on World Spine Day as part of the Bone and Joint Decade's Action Week. MOVE Week

Yesterday saw the start of MOVE Week in Europe. The objective of the week is to promote the benefits of being active and participating regularly in sport and physical activity. Secretaría Estará ubicada en el hall de la Sala de Conferencias del Hospital de Clínicas. (Piso 19) Funcionará la recepción, información, registro y entrega de documentación.

Documentación entregada al Congresista Bolso conteniendo: programa oficial, acreditación y otros materiales de interés. Para ingresar a Sala es imprescindible contar con acreditación.

Idioma Español.

Teléfonos celulares Solicitamos mantener sus teléfonos celulares silenciados o apagados durante su permanencia en la sala, a fin de no interferir con el normal desarrollo de las actividades.

Diplomas Se entregarán a todos los asistentes a las jornadas. Aquellos que no hayan retirado su diploma en las jornadas, podrán hacerlo en la empresa  Eventos durante el plazo de un año. Pasado dicho plazo, se enviarán a la Secretaría de la Cátedra de Medicina del Ejercicio y Deporte (Piso 15).

En el proceso de mejora en la gestión de nuestra Asociación los pasados días firmamos un convenio con FACILPAGO procesadora de Débitos, el cual nos posibilita simplificar la cobranza de las cuotas sociales.

ART. 27- "…Cuando en el orden del día se incluyan temas referentes a la profesión en general o defensa de la misma o sus integrantes, podrán participar también, la totalidad de los técnicos titulados en Fisioterapia (socios y no socios), que se encuentren en ejercicio de la profesión".

 

1)     ESTABLECER DE PARTE DE LA AFU, UNA SOBRECUOTA A SOCIOS Y NO SOCIOS, PARA CUBRIR GASTOS DEL ABOGADO,(DE SER NECESARIO).
