WCPT Look Forward Together

Survey of physical therapists

Thank you for your outstanding response to our WCPT Look Forward Together polls in recent weeks. As you know, this consultation will inform WCPT's strategic plan for 2016-2021, and your input so far has been very important to us.

We would now like you to participate in a more detailed survey to provide your views on WCPT's objectives, roles and relationships as well as your thoughts on WCPT's name.

The new survey includes translations in French and Spanish.

A WCPT news story published today reports on the findings of poll 3 which closed last Friday. You may be interested to know that there were 933 responses and the areas that respondents would most like to see as WCPT work streams are:

  • promoting the valuable contribution of PT across the lifespan in different service settings
  • direct access/self-referral
  • working with and influencing other professionals and decision makers
  • professional autonomy
  • pay and working conditions

You can read WCPT President Emma Stokes' perspective on the survey in her blog post and learn the point of view of Marcus Dripps, President of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, on the consultation in a recent video. "It gives us a chance to shape the global future of the profession," he says.

The survey will remain open until 9th January. We look forward to hearing from you!

Please note: WCPT member organisations, subgroups and networks are being contacted formally with links to a survey specifically designed for them to provide one organisational response each.
