En todo el país el único título académico es “Licenciado en Fisioterapia”, cuya traducción al inglés sería “Graduate in Phisiotherapy”(inglés), el título que usamos es “FISIOTERAPEUTAS”, en inglés es “Physiotherapists”.

A lawyer in English is a separate profession. Would you give the term in Spanish and Mia can select the best term in English. We would also like to have the name of the profession in Spanish as used in
Concerning the General Meeting discussion and decisions about the term Kinesiotherapy. Please see the attached the draft minutes for the General Meeting, on page 15. The responses to item 2 will be used to develop the list.
8.1 I have removed ‘Terapias manuales’ from the Other box as it is already listed and checked together with Orthopaedics.

Thank you for your enquiry about the collection for the common data set. There should be no need to survey your members in order to complete the collection. If you could complete as much as possible of the collection I can view it on line and see any problem areas.
If you could list the items that you are unable to complete I will see if I can assist. You can write in Spanish. I am fortunate to have a colleague who is fluent in Spanish.

En primer lugar, solicito a Ud. disculpas por escribir en español, no he tenido tiempo, ni posibilidades económicas de hacer un curso de inglés como les pasa a la mayoría de los fisioterapeutas de Latinoamérica. En nuestro país no es obligatorio el idioma inglés, solo es una materia “informativa” en estudios secundarios, incluso ahora enseñan portugués en algunas de nuestras escuelas, por la cercanía con Brasil. Inglés, solamente en escuelas bilingües privadas (de alto costo mensual).
En referencia a los datos del proyecto common data set que se ha estado trabajando desde 2009 en
En Uruguay, hicimos un cuestionario para que lo completen los fisioterapeutas socios y no socios de
Cuestionario que deberían responder por mail o por correo postal, que posteriormente
WCPT los está solicitando para el día 31 de marzo, pero solamente han respondido 6 personas de
Hicimos al cuestionario en español y más completo para tener más datos y no logramos que lo respondan ni cada 10 años, imagínese Ud. si podremos enviar datos cada año!!!
Durante la próxima reunión CLAFK – SAR que realizaremos en Isla Margarita en setiembre hablaremos sobre estas dificultades y sabremos cuales países de la región han respondido.
Estamos tratando de implementar alguna forma de que los fisioterapeutas completen los formularios, si lo logramos, tendremos los datos.

Es difícil lograr que la gente responda a cuestionarios, siempre están muy ocupados, porque deben tener dos empleos y además, quien puede, atiende pacientes en consultorios o domicilios.
Trataremos de que completen el cuestionario durante los cursos, congresos, toda actividad que podamos, pero de ninguna manera llegaremos a tener algo antes del 31 de marzo.
Los datos de Uruguay que entregamos durante el General Meeting 2011, son los datos más actuales que tenemos de los fisioterapeutas en Uruguay y si lo desea Ud., se los puedo volver a enviar.

First of all thank you for taking on the task of completing the WCPT common data set. Thanks in particular to those who have completed the submission for their WCPT member organisation. It has been very satisfying to get an e-alert from the system telling me that a submission has been made.
Secondly I am writing to find out whether all is going well for those of you who have started the process, but not yet completed. Are there any questions that are proving tricky to answer or data that is difficult to access? If you would like to call please send an email with the best times for me to contact you and the telephone number or Skype name.
We hope that all the forms will be completed by 31 March 2012 so that we can proceed with analysis and reporting.
